Property Management Head Honcho

Here's a little ditty we like to call our "Property Management Head Honcho Extraordinaire" Ad:

********************************************************

The Real Estate MarketPlace in Killeen is looking, for the first time in five years, for an extremely special person to be our Head Honcho Property Manager! This person will be responsible for our Property Management company, and be the de facto person-in-charge for the day-to-day operations of our special little company.

Now, what we are NOT looking for is a, “I will do my job by checking off this checklist right here…and what they’re asking for is NOT in my job description,” kind of person. We’re looking for that “Go-to” guy or gal. The one that always took charge of projects in school, and ACED them with some real flair—that’s the one we want. You know, the kind of person that hears of a problem, and rather than passing it off to someone else through a voice mail, takes full control of the situation and runs with it. The kind of go-getter that says, “Our Clients will be absolutely THRILLED with our service—this is under MY watch, Muchacho.” And—after saying that, DELIVERS.

This person (is it you?) shows up on time. They can be counted on to cover down. They are the one to call when something goes wrong (something always will). When the average mortal says, “Uh-oh…,” this person says, “Not a problem. I’ve got this.”

This person has a track record of success. They’ve worked in real estate before. They have a great knowledge of computers, and experience managing people. Those supervised, when asked, will say that you are tough—but fair. They’ll say that working for you is sometimes exhausting, but they feel great because they KNOW that what we do is extraordinary.

The person we’re looking for should have a real estate license…but it’s not absolutely necessary if you are GREAT. Property management experience is a big plus, but also not absolutely necessary—but if that’s the case, then you had better have a pretty quick learning curve.

This person, first and foremost, has a good grasp of systems and how to create them. They are organized and extremely goal-oriented. They can walk into a mess of a situation, and by the time they leave, everything is running like a finely-tuned machine. While they possess all of these qualities, they also have a refined edge. They can deal with difficult Clients. They can “Sell” what we do to others and leave them in a state of awe.

In short, we’re looking for a one-in-a-hundred kind of person. Are you that person? Go check out our real estate website at www.marketplacelistings.com…and then our property management site at www.texaspropertycare.com. Get a feel for us.

Then, if that doesn’t scare you too badly, then let us get a feel for what type of person you are. Put together a resume, along with a cover letter of why we should talk to you about this position. WARNING! If your resume has nonsense about ‘promoting synergy in a fast-paced environment thus facilitating quality relations…,’ then you probably won’t get a call back for this. We want the real you, not a phony-baloney, plastic banana song and dance routine! Got it?

When you get that together, e-mail it to (chip at killeenlistings dot com). All of that fancy writing helps to keep me from getting spammed! Sound it out, and that’s my e-mail address. The ones that look good will get an initial interview, and we’ll go from there.

Thank you for reading this diatribe. If you’re not frightened at this point, that’s probably a good thing…
